The Edo-period round fan print “Imayō: Twelve Months” was created in Bunsei 5 (1822) by the renowned master artistFirst-Generation Toyokuni, and was produced by the publisher Ibasen as a multicolored woodblock print round fan (fan illustration).Based on this sole surviving woodblock, the publisher Ibasen has printed and produced the current series of the First Toyokuni “Imayō Twelve Months.”
