Using precious gold leaf—now produced by only a handful of artisans—our foil-stamping craftsmen apply it by hand, one sheet at a time, adjusting the moisture and adhesive levels to perfection based on their years of expertise.

Gold has long been regarded as a color symbolizing “warding off evil spirits,” “financial fortune,” and “prosperity,” and on top of this gold leaf, an artist has gracefully painted auspicious patterns and motifs representing the four seasons.

To ensure the design remains intact through subsequent processing stages, specialized know-how is required in both the application of color and the composition; therefore, we pay meticulous attention to the painting technique and methods of expression.
