A. Changes to your order (such as items, quantities, or shipping address) after it has been confirmed may be accepted only before the shipping process begins.

Please note, however, that we may not be able to accommodate changes to custom-made items, such as Personalisation folding fan. We appreciate your understanding.

A. We may be able to cancel your order only if we have not yet begun the shipping process.

Please note that once your order is confirmed, we begin processing it immediately, so it may take some time to process your cancellation request. Please be aware that we cannot accept cancellations after an order has been shipped.

Please note that for custom and Personalisation items, we cannot accept cancellations once production has begun.

After your order has been shipped, you can print a receipt yourself from your order history.

About Shipping

■ About Prices: All product prices are listed as “total prices,” including consumption tax.

■ Sales Tax: 10% (included in the product price)

■ Shipping Fees (Within Japan)

  • Hokkaido, Okinawa, Kyushu: 880 yen
  • All other regions: 770 yen

* Free shipping on orders with a total product price (excluding tax) of 10,000 yen or more.

■ Cash-on-Delivery Fee

  • Up to 9,999 yen: 330 yen
  • Up to 29,999 yen: 440 yen
  • Up to 99,999 yen: 660 yen
  • Up to 300,000 yen: 1,100 yen

* If the cash-on-delivery amount is 55,000 yen (including tax) or more, a separate stamp duty fee of 220 yen is required. * Cash-on-delivery payments are limited to 300,000 yen per transaction.

We will ship your order within 10 days of confirmation. (Limited to items in stock.) Custom items, such as Personalisation folding fan, take approximately two weeks to deliver.

We can arrange for next-day shipping only for orders received by midday on weekdays (Monday through Friday). We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Please enter your “preferred delivery date” in the notes section when placing your order.

Your purchase will be ready for pickup at the store counter at the time and date you specified (during store hours). When picking up your order, please present the email confirming your order or a printed copy of it.

For international shipments, import duties, import sales tax (VAT), customs clearance fees, and other charges may apply depending on the destination country or region.

These charges are not included in the product price or shipping fees and are the responsibility of the customer.

Customs duties and taxes vary depending on the laws and regulations of each country, product classification, and product price, and these regulations are subject to change.

Please note that if you refuse delivery or return the item due to import taxes or duties, we will inspect the condition of the returned item and issue a refund after deducting return shipping costs and other applicable fees.

About folding fan

Edo fan are characterized by their “sui” (refined) patterns, which originated in samurai culture, and feature a wide folding span with a relatively small number of ribs—typically 15 to 18. In contrast, Kyoto fans have a larger number of ribs—typically 25 to 35—and are characterized by their “miyabi” (elegant) patterns.

The silk folding fan our store are Kyoto-folding fan.

  • After use, wipe off any dirt or moisture, let it dry thoroughly, and then close it.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures, and high humidity; store in a well-ventilated area.
  • For long-term storage, we recommend placing the item in the included box or cloth bag.
  • To prevent the bones from warping, do not place the item under heavy objects.

Yes, we can accommodate that. In certain situations—such as 内祝 to celebrate a birth or small tokens of appreciation—it is sometimes customary to include only the recipient’s name. However, as a general rule, it is considered proper etiquette to include both Omotegaki (e.g., 御中元御祝 or 御祝) and the recipient’s name.

はい、紙扇子と布扇子では制作工程が異なります。先ほどのパネルの内容をもとにまとめると:

  • 紙扇子:ご指定のデザインを扇面に印刷するため、デザインの自由度が高く、グラフィックや写真なども対応可能です。
  • 布扇子:お客様から生地をご支給いただき、それを扇子に仕立てる工程になります。生地の厚さによって間数(骨数)が変わるため、素材選びが重要なポイントになります。
