Edoround fan: Imayō: Twelve Months

The Edo-period round fan print “Imayō: Twelve Months” was created in Bunsei 5 (1822) by the renowned master artistfirst-generation Toyokuni, a master artist in the tradition of the Utagawa school, and was produced by the publisher Ibasen as a multicolored woodblock print round fan (uchiwa-e).

This Edo-period ukiyo-e print round fan (nishiki-e, Yamato-style) was created by the master artist Hiroshige, a descendant of the Utagawa school,and Kuniyoshi, both masters in the tradition of the Utagawa school, and were produced by the publisher Ibasen as multicolored prints round fan (uchiwa-e).
