The “Ueno Summer Festival” is a summer event held primarily around Shinobazu Pond and the Amphitheater in Ueno Park.

The Sumida River Fireworks Festival is one of Tokyo’s most iconic fireworks events, held along the Sumida River in the Asakusa area.
Fireworks are launched from two venues—Venue 1 and Venue 2—allowing visitors to enjoy a quintessentially Tokyo night view created by the fireworks, the Sumida River, the Asakusa cityscape, and the Tokyo Skytree.

4. Kanda Myojin Summer Festival | Three Days of Bon Odori Dancing and Food Stalls

The Kanda Myojin Summer Festival is a summer festival centered around Bon Odori dancing, held on the grounds of Kanda Myojin Shrine.
In addition to traditional Bon Odori, the festival features anime song Bon Odori that blends Akihabara culture, food events, and food stalls.
In 2026, the anime song Bon Odori is scheduled for August 7, followed by Bon Odori performances by the Chiyoda Ward Folk Dance Federation on August 8 and the Hamacho Ondo Preservation Society on August 9.
